Storage batteries and fuel cells are electrochemical energy devices with high efficiency, high energy density, and long life, and are being applied to a wide range of applications, from ubiquitous devices to backup power sources, mobile power sources, and power grid storage systems. Innovative batteries that greatly exceed the energy density of existing batteries are also being developed. The Committee of Battery Technology holds a The Battery Symposium every fall in order to advance the science and technology of batteries.
This special feature is proposed by the The Committee of Battery Technical in conjunction with the 65th Battery Symposium to be held in Kyoto, Japan, on November 20-22, 2024. We invite papers related to storage batteries, fuel cells, and innovative batteries based on the contents of the 65th Battery Symposium. We welcome any research related to storage batteries and fuel cells, regardless of whether it has been presented at the above symposium, or not. Please feel free to submit your paper.

Article Processing Charge (APC)
The article processing charge (APC) is 150,000 yen (including VAT). However, members of the society or the designated persons from The Committee of Battery Technology are entitled to a 2/3 reduction of the article processing charge to 50,000 yen (including VAT). The Committee of Battery Technology will subsidize the APC for up to 60 cases for those who meet the following conditions, and the APC will be fully waivered. For more details, please contact the Secretariat of The Committee of Battery Technology (See below).
APC Supporting Conditions
- The author(s) of the manuscript must be part of the presenters at the 65th Battery Symposium in Japan. Receipt number of the presentation application or presentation number is required at the time of application for paper submission.
- The content of the manuscript must be based on the presentation at the 65th Battery Conference. When submitting the manuscript, the author needs to indicate in the footnotes that it is related to the content of the presentation. APC waiver may not be granted for less relevant papers.
- The author who receives an APC waiver should indicate this in the Acknowledgments section.
