Revision for Discount Rate of Article Processing Charge (APC)

The Article Processing Charge (APC) for Electrochemistry was fixed in December 2020, and a discount rate of 66.7% (2/3) has been applied to Category B, which is mainly applied to ECSJ members. Four years have passed since the fixed rate was introduced, and the number of pages and figures in published papers has tended to increase, which leads to higher publication costs, due to more detailed descriptions of bibliographic data and more publication of Abstract Graphic in order to improve the quality of published papers. ECSJ will revise the reduction rate for Category B reflecting the current publication costs as follows.

APC reduction rate for Category B: 60% (66.7% before revision)

The revised APC will be applied to papers submitted on or after April 1, 2025.
We would appreciate your understanding in this matter.
