Designation of Papers in the 66th Special Feature of Electrochemistry as Distinguished Download Record
The papers published in the October 2022 Special Feature of Electrochemistry have demonstrated outstanding readership and impact over the past several years. In particular, many of the comprehensive papers and review articles included in the 66th Special Feature, “Novel Aspects and Approaches to Experimental Methods for Electrochemistry,” have consistently ranked among the most downloaded articles on the journal website since 2023, and in 2025, they accounted for seven of the top ten most downloaded papers.
In recognition of this achievement, the Editorial Office of Electrochemistry has decided to designate these papers as Distinguished Download Record. This recognition acknowledges both the excellence of the Special Feature’s concept and its academic impact, as well as the significant contributions of the authors.
To maintain fairness in the download-based recognition system and to encourage a broader range of authors, papers included in Special Features designated as Distinguished Download Record will be excluded from future selections for the Bimonthly Most Downloaded Papers and the annual Most Downloaded Papers. This measure is an administrative adjustment to ensure balanced recognition and does not diminish the value or impact of the papers. Rather, this designation will ensure that their academic significance continues to be highlighted.
